This is Inspector-General for Emergency Management’s (IGEM) second report outlining the progress of the Victorian Government and industry partners in implementing Victoria’s critical infrastructure resilience arrangements.
Overall IGEM found that through 2016-17, government organisations are working collaboratively with industry partners to build the resilience of Victoria's critical infrastructure.
The collaboration and progress are consistent with the intent of the arrangements described in Emergency Management Act 2013 and the Victorian Critical Infrastructure Resilience Strategy, to build the resilience of critical infrastructure to all potential hazards, whether natural or human-induced.
For the purposes of the continuous improvement of Victoria’s emergency management arrangements, IGEM has also identified a number of good practice and improvement opportunities for government and industry to consider.
Critical Infrastructure Resilience Implementation Progress Report 2017 was published on 19 April 2018.
