Diversity and Inclusion Awards

The Diversity and Inclusion Awards recognise and celebrate leading practice in promoting inclusion and gender diversity among the Emergency Services Foundation's 15 member agencies (External link)

Award applications are open (External link) until 9 February 2025. 

The awards will be presented at the Emergency Services Foundation's (External link) International Women's Day event on 6 March 2025. 

Award categories

There are 3 Awards - categories one and two are intended to acknowledge a program, not the agency in general.

  1. Gender Inclusivity Initiative - this award will acknowledge a particular program within a member agency's corporate, branch or unit level.
  2. Women's Equality Initiative - this award will acknowledge a particular program within a member agency's the corporate, branch or unit level.
  3. Diversity and Inclusion Champion - this candidate will have made a significant impact to advance diversity and inclusion through demonstrated actions and initiative in their workplace, regardless of their role or rank. They should be a shining example of, and role model for, gender diversity and inclusion.

The judging panel includes:

  • Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commissioner, Ro Allen
  • Commissioner for Gender Equality in the Public Sector, Dr Niki Vincent
