In December 2015 the Victorian Government requested Inspector-General for Emergency Management (IGEM) to manage the prompt investigation and reporting of any breaches of control lines by a planned burn.
This report provides a summary of IGEM’s observations of investigations into breaches of control lines by planned burns conducted by the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning during the period 1 January 2016 to 30 June 2016, and focuses on the observations and opportunities for continuous improvement.
